Emily Gould

Emily Gould, Colorado Springs teenage drummer, is an up and coming talent. Loaded with ambition, the 16 year-old rocker made the cut as an additional percussionist on the song, "Natural to Me." Gould was not at all discouraged after missing the cut for a previous recording. Michael always encourages young women in music, but won't put just any average player on her tracks.

Gould continued to refine her chops and came back to impress Michael, better prepared and in top form. Michael snagged a beat from her that "runs like blood" through her song. Michael filled in the remaining percussion, and between the two, the song was completed.

Emily was the first of Michael's associates in Colorado to pay a visit to her studio in San Francisco. Michael will keep an eye on this rising musician and is so happy to have been able to work with such a young professional. "These are the kind of musicians we want to nurture...when their hearts are in the music and their hands are on fire!"
